#### How I (and Many Sellers) Use It Step-by-Step

Here’s what it looks like in practice, whether you’re selling a one-off piece, collecting a deposit for a commission, or managing sales from a gallery show.

You’ll start by tapping [`Quick Sell`](https://www.cohart.com/artist/invoices/create) (either on your Cohart app or PC).  It’s your shortcut to invoice creation. Add the buyer’s name and email, a personal message if you like, and then start building the invoice.

You can:
- Pull pieces directly from your **Cohart Inventory**

- Or create a **custom line item** (for commissions, framing, shipping, etc.)
Once the items are in, you’ve got full control. 

#### Want to add a discount? 
Simply add the item from inventory OR add a custom item,  and then you can edit the sales price or add a discount by percentage. Creating a deposit for a commission? Simply label the items “1 of 2” and “2 of 2” to keep things clear.

#### Need to charge tax? 
Just toggle it on. 


####  Shipping? 
Choose **Ship by Cohart** (flat-rate and size-based), or set your own custom fee. You can even skip shipping entirely if it’s a deposit or local pickup.

Then hit **Continue** to preview your invoice, and decide how you want to deliver:
- **Send** it directly to their inbox

- **Collect payment** on the spot (card/tap-to-pay)

- Or **Save** it and send later
