Bio

Juan-Pablo Villacura is a Chilean painter based in Germany. His energetic abstract pieces resemble urban gardens full of wild shapes, Banksy-esque depictions of children, and youthful exuberance. He is inspired by what's around us: signs, nature, streets, rap music. His abstract expressionism creates an intimate yet distinct feeling that has to be seen up close to be fully felt. He studied at the University of Chile in Santiago and his work is held in private collections actound the world.
