[Fabiola Noschang ](https://www.cohart.com/studionoschang/profile) is a Brazilian artist based in Utah. Originally trained in Architecture, Fabiola brings a sensitivity that blends structure with intuition, and design with natural elements.

Her work explores the quiet, sacred relationship between the seen and unseen through abstract and sculptural pieces that feel like visual meditations.

Fabiola’s process is rooted in presence and intention. Through layered organic compositions of natural and raw materials as earth pigments, mineral compounds, crystals and textures, she express the reflection that beauty is often found in what is raw, imperfect, natural and elemental.

Her artworks are portals for reflection and contemplation. They are meant not only to be seen, but to be felt. Her pieces invites stillness and connection, echoing the delicate balance between heaven and earth, and inviting us to connect with the self, the land and the divine.

#### Tell us a bit about your background and how you started


After becoming a mom, I felt this deep pull to reconnect with myself. I’ve always had creativity in the background — I’m a trained architect in Brazil, and growing up, I was always drawn to all kinds of creation.
I started exploring plaster sculptures, then moved into textured wall art, and eventually found a way to merge the two. What I use now — plaster, earth materials, raw pigments — are the same kinds of things I saw my dad use growing up when he was building things around the house. It feels like I’ve come full circle.


#### Can you describe your artistic process? What materials and techniques do you typically use?

My creative process began with reconnecting to myself through spirituality, healing, and inner work. As I returned to my truth, creativity started flowing naturally. For the creation process, I try to stay in an intuitive, relaxed state — often through meditation — and ideas come like downloads when I least expect them, like in the shower. When this happens, I sketch them quickly, then give space to evolve before planning how to bring it to life. 
I like to work with grounding materials like plaster, cement, earth pigments, and crystals — especially selenite — choosing each one for its energy and meaning. My idea is to create 3-dimensional textured art that has this playfulness of the texture and create a game of shadow and light.

#### What message or emotion do you hope to express through your art?



The message behind my art is all about light — the light of the soul, the beauty of raw, unpolished materials, and the idea that imperfection can be perfect. It’s a spiritual language of alignment, inner reflection, and higher consciousness.
Emotionally, I hope my pieces bring a sense of peace, calm, grounding, and contemplation. I want the viewer to feel like they’ve entered a moment of stillness — a space where they can connect to themselves and their inner light.




#### What role does spontaneity vs. planning play in your process?

Generally, there’s always a plan — a sketch, a clear intention — but once I start building, I let my heart and intuition take the lead. I follow the feeling when it comes to colors, textures, dimensions, and especially where crystals should go. It’s a dance between structure and surrender.

#### Is there a project that holds special meaning to you?
Yes — my very first commission will always have a special place in my heart. A dear friend believed in me and invested in my work before I even had anything to show. She now has the first two pieces I ever created with selenite crystals.
The commission was designed for the Soleil Spa in Utah — a multi-piece series representing light, energy, and renewal, moving from sunrise to full bloom. It was about capturing the light and meaning of the sun, with the meaning of purification and calm that the spa represents. It was the beginning of this technique and design.

#### How important is the space where your art is displayed?


The space definitely plays a role, but what matters most for me is how people want to feel in it. I feel that my body of work has a timeless, neutral quality that flows easily into modern, organic, or wabi-sabi spaces, adding a quiet sense of peace and presence wherever it lives.


#### What impact do you hope your art has on the world?


If it can bring someone a moment of stillness or reflection, or help awaken a sense of light within them — then that’s idea. I also love that the crystals (especially selenite) help energetically purify the spaces they’re in. It’s like visual art meets energetic support.






#### Do you include any cultural or historical references in your work?

Yes, in subtle ways. Aesthetically, I blend a Zen-inspired meditative feel with modern architectural elements like raw cement, inspired by brutalism and minimalist design. I also love the philosophy of wabi-sabi — the beauty of imperfection and natural materials.



#### If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be?

Ah, so many! But two come to mind right away:
	•	Werner Bronkhorst — I absolutely admire his work. He creates high-volume textured pieces with beautiful color and tiny figures. His playfulness and texture combinations are so inspiring.
	•	Daniel Arsham — I discovered him after I started working with crystals. He’s an incredible mixed-media artist who also uses crystals in a really unique way on his sculptural work.
