*A melody of light. A counterpoint of voices.*

This December, ORAC Gallery, which works between Warsaw and Venice, brings a curated presentation to CONTEXT Art Miami. *MINORIA — CODA* puts the paintings and glass works of Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski in dialogue with the conceptual and spatial practice of Monika Turczyńska, the gallery's director and curator.

#### A Coda in Two Voices

"A coda gathers what has already sounded, and lets us hear it differently," the presentation begins. Across the booth, light, face, fracture and material trace return as recurring motifs.

Each work keeps its own voice, scale and tempo. It is the visitor's movement through the space that brings them into relation, and what returns has been changed by the encounter.

#### Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski

Oraczewski brings figure, symbolic form and material structure into sustained dialogue, moving between the intimacy of a single image and the scale of a monumental composition. His monographic exhibition *Collisions* at the National Museum in Kielce (2023–2024) brought together paintings and installations from across his practice.

At the heart of the Miami presentation is *Cracovians and Highlanders* (2017), a mixed media painting four metres wide, where figures, gestures and intervals hold a broad rhythm around a golden centre. "The painting does not illustrate music," says Oraczewski. "It behaves like music."

Several of Oraczewski's works, including his *Venice Whispers* series, are also available on Cohart.

#### Monika Turczyńska and M-X/00

Working between Warsaw and Venice, Turczyńska is a poet, conceptual artist and curator who explores the relationships between matter, memory and perception. She is the author of MINORIA and of *M-X/00 / Protocol of Unknowing*.

In music, a rest gives the surrounding notes their duration. In Miami, M-X/00 plays that role: a pause for looking, where attention moves between an image, its material and the space around it. Its score is simple: pause, let the gaze wander, register the trace, do not close the field.

#### From Venice to Miami

Turczyńska developed MINORIA in Venice in 2026, naming it in dialogue with *In Minor Keys*, the title of the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. At A Space Gallery, *The Shape of Breath*, part of the official programme of The Venice Glass Week 2026, gathered glass, breath, memory and suspension.

In Miami, those motifs return through melody, two voices, variation and counterpoint. The Miami configuration of the installation is still being developed.
