Applications are now open for **Art Düsseldorf 2027**, returning to Areal Böhler from **April 9–11, 2027**. The international art fair brings together galleries, artists, collectors and visitors through curated sections and thematic presentations.

#### Gallery Application Deadline

Galleries can apply from **September 1 through October 28, 2026**. The application is open to galleries that have operated continuously for at least one year, with their own premises, regular opening hours and an ongoing exhibition programme.

Individual artists without gallery representation, online galleries and art advisory firms are not eligible to apply directly.

#### Sections and Themes

Art Düsseldorf 2027 offers several presentation formats, including **MAIN, SOLO, PAPER, NEXT and NEXT+**. The NEXT section is designed for galleries that have been established for less than 10 years.

The 2027 edition also introduces three curatorial themes:

- **The Power of Words** — exploring language, writing, voice and AI-generated speech.
- **Material Revisited** — focusing on craft, materiality and processes including textiles, ceramics, wood and glass.
- **Roots & Identities** — examining identity, heritage, belonging and evolving ideas of community.

Galleries can develop their presentations around these themes as part of their application.

#### Application Details

The application is completed online. First-time applicants are required to submit a short booth concept and booth sketch, alongside information about the gallery and selected artworks. A **€450 non-refundable application fee** applies.
