This piece was an abstract and free flow session where with the help of minimal source material, I was able to create in a purely creative state while drawing inspiration from different dimensions.

The tablecloth that serves as a canvas abandons its destiny as a support to become part of the work and in some way another protagonist.
and in some way becomes another protagonist. It no longer dresses the exquisite family table, but is reand forcibly finds other destinies.

Layers of paper, paint and mark-making combine to create an expressive and multi-dimensional piece. Pieces of torn, found paper meet up with paint and marks to let the eye wander throughout the piece.

This is a mixed media painting of a woman. I created it using vintage textiles, mica, original photographs, silver leaf and acrylic paint.  The border is painted indigo blue.
