Family is not always blood. Family is the relationship united by one commonality: love. A love for each other, a love for life, a love that bonds us together. I chose warm colors to illustrate how each person brings connects their heart with others, linking into each other through emotional connections and experiences.

Depth of color combined with playful yet intentioned mark-making are what shine forth most in this series of studies. These works capture both time & place.

The scribble represents a spontaneous artistic gesture that occurs at the inception of an idea. I love the idea of freezing the gesture, in a way memorializing it, as a constant reminder of what's still possible.
