I used a color that I made myself 4 years ago. It was a specific experimentation with sepia, pigments, oil and essence. I forgot that i made it and found it by chance in my atelier in July 2023 and decided to make a series of small formats on paper (about 20). Now the color is finished and I will never be able to reproduce it the exact same way.

Salesman was painted alongside two other canvas's of the same size and briefly formed part of a triptych before the centre panel was removed leaving the left and right panels as standalone works. Both figures are painted with facial features absent and mouths forced unnaturally wide by some hideous,unseen, mania inducing knowledge.
