Art as a reminder that you are enough

"Opening" went through many iterations before it got to this point. A warm circle of light at the center represents an opening, in space and in our consciousness, a window of opportunity, or a portal to something unknown but exciting. Tiny rocks and sand in the texture not only set the composition but also finish the piece, appearing as specks of dust or constellations of stars bursting into space from a big bang.

Opening

This piece was created in an intuitive style as part of my Fast Art Challenge. I experimented with texture here, using paper collaged into the canvas to give the surface a physical, almost sculptural quality.

Abstracts

I spotted these pink poppies on a trip to Seattle, sunlit and an unusual color I hadn't seen before. I wanted to capture that moment.

Pink Poppies

Inspired by gorgeous plants growing around our Tank Hill neighborhood, this piece was a part of my Fast Art Challenge. This is my interpretation of Perez's sea lavender, embellished with some gold dertails.

Portraits

A series of five 6x6 inch paintings inspired by the small, colorful glass bottles at Cole Hardware—capturing how light moves through their shapes and transforms everyday objects into little jewels. Great addition to a kitchen wall. Framed in a gold-leaf frame.
